Project Hastings
Youth-led non-profit led by students who are determined to empower those in Canada's most vulnerable communities
The Project Hastings Foundation is a student-led nonprofit dedicated to combating food insecurity and poverty across urban centers like Vancouver's Downtown Eastside and Toronto's inner city. Our mission is to uplift and empower individuals facing homelessness substance use challenges, and mental health crises through consistent, compassionate action. Every two weeks, our network of over 400 passionate student volunteers distributes nutritious meals, water, blankets socks, and other seasonal essentials at local community sites. We extend beyond charity as we strive to build lasting, generational change by fostering youth leadership and community resilience.
